Taekwondo is an Olympic sport, in which self-defence is being practiced by learning various kick and punch techniques. Taekwondo belongs to the most diversed Olympic sport. There is no other sport which, on the highest competitive level, being practiced by all continents, by men and women.
I started Taekwondo when I was 6 years old. Since I was 15, taekwondo changed for me from a normal sport, to a passion where I wanted to be competitive in. I started as a talent then in the region team of South-Netherlands and tasted the real topsport. I knew immediately that topsport was made for me. Since I was 17, I grew further to an athlete and taking this hobby seriously as a job to achieve my goals. Since then I have been giving my everything to belong to the world summit.

Since I started being an athlete, my life changed completely. I always felt I could do and achieve more within competitive Taekwondo. This gave me the motivation to invest every time I had in my sport career. I made the choice to chase my biggest ambition: The Olympic Games. To achieve this, I started training more, training seriously, eating more healthy and stopped unimportant peripheral matters. Since then I started making progression competitively. I started winning National championships and won my first international ranked medals. Because of my athlete status in the University, the Tilburg University made it for me easier to combine my study with my sport career. This makes it for me possible to invest all the hours I need in my training and the organization for Taekwondo.
Above, you can see all the institutions/people who are sponsoring me at the moment. I am still searching for people/institutions who are willing to help me achieving my dreams within Taekwondo.
The road to the top is long and expensive. All my rivals on the highest level are receiving all the sponsoring help they need, but for athletes who are in the beginning of their career, there is barely financial support.
I am now in the beginning of my sport career and to come further I need you help. Unfortunately, doing top sport is very expensive. Think about the costs of (international) tournaments, (international) training and (international) trainingcamps. This leads to high costs, besides the regular contribution fees. That's why I'm looking for sponsorships to make competitive Taekwondo do-able for me.
I participate now with big international tournaments to qualify myself for the European and World Championships. Those tournaments take 3-4 days to participate with and most of the time we need to travel far for them. We fight tournaments in whole Europe and often even outside Europe. I fight 9 to 10 of these tournaments approximately every year. Besides that, I make a lot of costs for the training I need to do and for the training gear I need to have.
Unfortunately, sport career is very difficult to practice in the Netherlands without financial support. Sponsors are welcome to support me. I want to give you the freedom to choose between three options to support me. You can join the 50 Club where people donate me 50 euro's yearly for sport purposes only. You can also chose a Platinum or Diamant package.
