On Saturday October 19th the Dutch Open took place. It's always special participating at this home event. After 5 months without fighting a match, it was great to be back on the mats again. Unfortunately, I didn't win a medal this time. After winning two matches I narrowly lost from the gold medal winner in the quarter finals. Nevertheless, I can look back on a successful event in which I fought three strong matches.
On to the next one!

Last weekend we traveled to Antalya to participate in the Turkish Open 2025. Unfortunately I sustained an injury which forced me to withdraw from this event due to the medical staff. Nevertheless I enjoyed the beautiful event and I am really looking forward to the next event (namely the Dutch Open!)

Today, I am proud to announce that I have officially and successfully completed my final bachelor's course by receiving a positive evaluation for my Bachelor’s Thesis.
Over the past few months, I have explored the key factors and perspectives that the judiciary most often considers when determining whether a collection of individuals qualifies as a group in cases of tort liability. My research has contributed to a deeper understanding of tort law in a group context, highlighting the challenges judges face when making definitive black-and-white decisions about group membership.
Meanwhile, I have also begun my Master’s in International Law & Public Governance, and I am excited to expand my legal knowledge in an international context!

Yesterday, I had the pleasure of hosting an inspiring workshop alongside Soufiane Achnine for ASML employees, organized by Next ASML. The workshop focused entirely on taekwondo, introducing participants to the basic techniques while emphasizing the deeper vision of the sport, centered around discipline and mental focus—core values that make taekwondo so unique.
In addition, I had the honor of inspiring the employees by sharing my personal story. I offered insight into my experiences as a top athlete and the challenges and lessons that come with practicing taekwondo at the highest level.
This workshop was made possible in part by Next ASML, which supports my journey as a professional athlete. I am incredibly grateful for their contribution!
A special thanks to Dilara Cakici for her invaluable help in organizing this session.
Would you be interested in organizing a taekwondo workshop for your team? Or would you like to give your team a mental boost with an inspiring personal story?
Feel free to send me a message. I’d love to connect!
